2.11.17 Weather Update

US Squash is monitoring forecasts for another winter weather system that may pass through the Hartford, CT area tomorrow, Sunday.

All matches are currently planned to proceed as scheduled. US Squash is working with host facilities to make sure that no closures are planned, and will communicate with all teams if the situation changes.

Should your team be unable to play a match tomorrow due to weather, no default penalties will be enforced. In the event of a necessary withdrawal, we ask that teams let the tournament know as soon as possible so that we can facilitate communication with opposing teams. Please either email tournaments@ussquash.com or call the tournament hotline (646) 389-0452

Currently it appears the impact of the storm will be moderate, and hopefully no matches will be affected. Good luck on court today!

2.9.17 @11:00am - WEATHER UPDATE

The current winter storm is creating challenging travel conditions throughout the northeast corridor, and current forecasts indicate this will continue into the afternoon and early evening. US Squash has been in regular contact with our host facilities, school athletic departments and team coaches to decide on the most appropriate and safest options for the 2017 HEAD U.S. High School Team Championships.

To aid as many teams as possible in their travel to the tournament, US Squash will be delaying the start of the event until 12:00pm (noon) on Friday, February 10. Any teams who were originally scheduled for an 8:00am or 10:00am start time will be playing no earlier than 12:00pm. This will allow many teams to adjust their travel later this evening or Friday morning.

US Squash is currently evaluating rescheduling options and will communicate all new starting times to all teams via email by 2:00pm this afternoon. Court time is extremely tight through the weekend, so options include cancelling Sunday playoff matches to shift Friday and Saturday matches later in the weekend. US Squash appreciates the cooperation of all coaches as we aim to give all players the best possible experience during what promises to be an exciting weekend of squash.

Please look for the next communication this afternoon with full adjusted start times. We wish safe travels to all teams.

Please notify US Squash immediately of any travel updates for your team that may prevent your competition this weekend. For updates, please go to the "Recent News" tab on the tournament information page: The HEAD 2017 U.S. High School Team Squash Championships.

2.8.17 @ 10:00PM - WEATHER UPDATE
US Squash is continuing to monitor the weather that is forecast in the Northeast on Thursday morning and afternoon. Currently, the tournament will continue as originally scheduled. Teams should allot additional travel time as necessary.

Should conditions prove restrictive to travel for a significant number of teams, adjustments will be made to the tournament schedule as appropriate. The safety of all players and teams remains as a top priority.

US Squash will send another update to all teams at 11:00am EST Thursday morning, February 9.

2.8.17 @ 1:45pm - Weather Update
US Squash is continuing to monitor the weather that is forecast in the Northeast on Thursday morning and afternoon. The system appears likely to cause travel disruptions through Thursday, but should be clear of the region by the beginning of the event. Currently, the tournament will continue as originally scheduled. Teams should allot additional travel time as necessary to ensure a safe arrival.

If changes to the tournament schedule become necessary, US Squash will contact all affected teams via email as soon as the decision is made. In the event that schools prevent travel, your team is unable to participate in the event, or you experience a travel delay that will prevent your team from arriving for a match, please notify US Squash immediately by emailing tournaments@ussquash.com.

o   Teams without results entered by the regular registration deadline will be removed from the tournament and refunded their entry fee less the processing fee
