Junior Squash Parents Symposium

US Squash is hosting the first in series of Junior Squash Symposiums at the Baird E Haney Brooklyn Junior Gold. Kevin Klipstein, US Squash President & CEO and Harry Smith, US Squash Director of Junior Development, will facilitate an informal discussion with parents about getting the most out of their family's junior squash experience.

Come explore what your priorities are for your children's experience in squash. Listen to varied perspectives on the roles you, your coaches, and US Squash play, and what expectations we should have of each other.

These 45 minute sessions are intended for parents only, by age division of the junior player. If you have players in in multiple age groups, attending any session is fine. Registration not required.

Please note that the 3 venues for the Baird E Haney Brooklyn Junior Gold will be as follows: The Heights Casino (main building), the Heights Casino Annex and Poly Prep Country Day School. Details of the 3 venues are below.

Please note that if we have an incredibly large entry we may also use Eastern Athletic Club (Clark Street, which is walking distance to the Heights Casino)

1. THE HEIGHTS CASINO: (Linda Elriani 203-305-7211) shown as 'HC' on the draws.

75, Montague Street, Brooklyn NY 11201 tel: 718 624 0810

(and also the 'Heights Casino Annex', see below for details) 2 courts at this venue.

2. THE HEIGHTS CASINO ANNEX: tel: 718-624-5388 shown as 'A' on the draws

The Annex is only a slow 10 min walk from the main Casino building. The official address to the building where the Annex is located is 115, Clark Street, but entrance to our courts is located at the end of Pineapple Walk (opposite Cadman Plaza Park). Pineapple Walk is a pedestrian walkway and you cannot drive down it. If you walk from the Casino to the Annex, you need to turn left out of the Casino along Montague Street. Turn left onto Henry Street. Stay on Henry Street until you get to Pineapple Walk (which is the next street after Clark Street) and then turn right into Pineapple Walk (there is a deli called 'All in One' on the corner). The last building on the right is The Heights Casino Annex. There is a sign above the front door. (4 courts at this venue)

TRAVEL to the Heights Casino/Annex:

By Subway:

The closest subway to The Heights Casino is Borough Hall for the 2, 3, 4, 5 and Court Street  for the R, which all come out onto either Montague Street or Court Street (which is at the end of Montague Street)

You can also take the F train but it is a longer walk over to Montague Street.

For the Annex the closest subway is Clark Street for the 2,3.
it's a little further but you can also get off at High street and this is for the A,C.

By Car:

We suggest getting your directions from Google Maps. For Google Maps directions for The Heights Casino ANNEX we suggest plugging in 'Heights Kids, 93, Pineapple Walk NY 11201" and this gives the best directions, as the real address of the Annex can be very confusing. Please plug in the addresses above for The Casino venues or parking garages.
(If 'Heights Kids, 93, Pineapple Walk', is on your left then the Annex is the last building along Pineapple Walk on the right hand side).
