Note about divisions:

This year the Minnesota Squash Association Board and tournament committee have decided to try something new for the State Singles Tournament. We are going to ask you to sign up for the following divisons: A,B,C, and D. The main impetus behind this is to encourage larger draws and to avoid the small 4-5 player draws. The 1st round loser in each division will enter a new draw. Their next match will be in the 1st round of the following divisions: A/B, B/C, C/D, Novice.
To make this work, we will ask you to sign up based on the following recommendation: A (4.6 and above), B (3.6 - 4.5), C (2.6 - 3.5), D (2.5 and below). You can play up if you like but you may not play down (the tournament committee will strongly enforce this). We will work very hard to seed the draws accurately to ensure fair and competitive play.

We are aware that there is always resistance to trying something unfamiliar but we ask for your trust. Our decisions are always guided by our efforts to grow the game locally.

Any questions? Please email Tournament Director Paul Finkelstein at squashmn@gmail.com. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you at the tournament!

Play starting at 4pm on Thursday and Friday. May be slightly earlier starts for doubles depending on draw size and player availability. Thank you for your cooperation.
