U19, Boys start Friday at 3.30pm, and play two matches on Friday, both at McArthur Squash Center

U19, Girls. One match is being played Friday at 5.50pm, all the others start saturday from 8.00am at McArthur Squash Center.

Finals and consolation finals will be played on Sunday morning. In some cases (particularly in round robin draws) two round might still be necessary on Sunday. Based on the past two years, the very last matches came off court on Sunday at around 2.30pm. On Sunday we only use one venue, and have almost no capacity to alter scheduled times; so for this reason it's very important all entrant's do not make travel plans that involve leaving Charlotteville earlier than 3.00pm.

  • Division sizes will lock on the Wednesday 1.5 weeks before the start of the tournament. Once division sizes lock, division sizes will not increase in size even if the division is not at capacity.

Summer Gold Tournaments

Players may use the points from a maximum of two gold tournaments in any given age division held from June 1, 2017 through Labor Day.

If a player participates in more than two gold tournaments in any given age group, his or her top two point-earning events will automatically be used.

Summer gold tournaments not counting towards a player’s ranking average will not affect that player’s overall tournament count.

NOTE: If a player incurs a 0-point ranking penalty due to a second late withdrawal or mid-tournament default, that tournament will count on the player’s record even if they have played in more than 2 summer gold tournaments.

  • This tournament is accredited by US Squash.
  • All US Squash Accredited Tournaments must abide by the policies outlined here

Code of Conduct

  • All Players, Parents, Coaches, and Spectators must abide by the US Squash Code of Conduct

Cut List

  • All age divisions are open to the highest ranked 32 eligible players who enter per division. If less than 32 players enter per division, any eligible player will be accepted. If there are more than 32 players in any division, players will be placed on a waitlist based on their ranking and will only be granted entry if a playing position becomes available.
  • NOTE: In divisions with waitlisted players, the 30 highest ranked eligible players will gain entry into the tournament. The remaining two players to be admitted into the event will be notified within 48 hours of the release of the Cut List. This is to allow a grace period for any potential registration errors.

The majority of the matches will be played at:

McArthur Squash Center
at Boar's Head Sports Center
200 Wellington Drive
Virginia. 22903

For travel details please click here. McArthur Squash Center has 9 singles courts, including one all glass white ball doubles. The all glass court will be used for tournament matches. The Squash Desk at McArthur Squash Center can be reached at 434-972-6009. The direct line for Tournament Director Mark Allen is 434-972-7424.

The secondary venue is St Anne's Belfield School, which has 5 ASB squash courts. These are located on the Greenway Rise Campus (Upper School) at 2132 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903. The courts are behind the Student Activities Center at the rear of the campus. Directions to the Greenway Rise Campus can be found here. If your match is at St. Anne's then the court # on the draw will be preceeded by the abreviation STB. Please note that the STAB courts will only open 15 minutes before play is scheduled to begin, so those wanting to practice should do so at MSC.

Please make certain you make your way to the right campus - we have used the courts several times for other events and a lot or participants make the mistake of going to the Belfield Campus.

The two venues are 1.9 miles apart.

Please note that practice courts are NOT available at the ST. Anne's facility.

Tournament organizers will not reserve practice courts in advance, however they will be available for tournament practice as follows..

The Boar's Head Inn is adjacent to McArthur Squash Center and the convenience of walking to and from the courts is hard to beat! The Boar's Head are offering a limited number of rooms at the following rate:

Lastly,  http://www.visitcharlottesville.org/ is a good resource for local hotel information.

Charlottesville has an Amtrak station with direct connection from union station in D.C. It also has a small and very convenient airport (CHO) that's 15 minutes from the club. Flying into Richmond is also easy - being a 75 minute drive away - but public transport from Richmond to Charlottesville is limited so I would advise hiring a car. Dulles Airport is a 2 hour 15 minute journey - but allow as much as 4 hours for Friday afternoon traffic.
