US Squash hopes that you have enjoyed your experience at the U.S. Junior Open up to this point-we are excited to witness such great squash on day one! Thank you for your cooperation and patience as the weather system has moved into the area.

Due to the weather forecast for this evening, the State of Connecticut and our shuttle providers will be stopping service at specific times for each venue. This, coupled with safety concern for families driving themselves in the storm, will result the postponement of several of this evening's rounds at Choate, Wesleyan and Hopkins until tomorrow (Sunday, December 15).

The final round of matches that will be played at each venue are:
Wesleyan - 4:35pm (final shuttle to leave at 6:00pm)
Choate - 5:20pm  (final shuttle to leave at 6:30pm)
Hopkins - 5:55pm (final shuttle to leave at 7:00pm)
Yale - all matches will be completed as scheduled
**The final shuttle from Yale to the Omni hotel will leave at 7:30pm.

All matches scheduled after these times at each venue will be postponed and played Sunday morning. US Squash is currently working with our venues regarding the schedule for Sunday, and we will communicate adjusted match times to all players later today.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these postponements may cause.  Travel safely, and best of luck in your next matches!  Please stay tuned for further updates via email and on the tournament information page.

On-site Registration

Tournament registration will open at 3:00pm EST on Friday, December 13 at the Yale Squash Courts.  All players who are not able to register Friday night must register directly at the venue where their first match will be played.  Please make sure to leave ample time to arrive at your venue in order to register prior to your first match.

US Squash Officiating Clinics

US Squash recently announced a re-vamped officiating program which includes a new online referee exam and the introduction of in-club officiating clinics. Although clubs and schools continue to register to host an In-Club Officiating Clinic (click here to see the available clinics), US Squash would like to give participants of the 2014 US Junior Open the opportunity to attend a clinic this coming weekend if there are no conflicts with their match times or their officiating duties.

The clinics will take place:

Sunday, December 15th  - 11am, 2pm and 3pm
Monday, December 16th - 9am and 1pm

The officiating clinics will be held on the 5th floor of the Payne Whitney Gymnasium. On Saturday this room will be used for tournament registration, however on Sunday and Monday US Squash will use this space to conduct five officiating clinics.

Sign up for the officiating clinics will take place on-site. Players wanting to attend should report to the 5th floor 10 minutes prior to the start time of the clinic to register as there will be a limited number of spaces available. If a player arrives more than 5 minutes after the start time of the clinic then they will be asked to attend a later clinic.
